While Measure, our international journal of formal poetry, was begun in 2005 in conjunction with the University of Evansville, Measure Press is a new enterprise by editors Rob Griffith and Paul Bone.  Our goal is to continue bringing our readers the best new poetry from both established and emerging writers through our biannual journal.  However, in addition to the journal, we are now also publishing several collections of poetry a year.

These books, which consist mainly of full-length collections of original poetry and the occasional book on prosody or critical studies of particular poets, are acquired through both a contest and open submissions.  We'll be looking for not only established poets but also new writers who might be overlooked by larger presses because of their interest in form and meter.

Please support this endeavor by becoming a subscriber to Measure or by purchasing any of our books or back issues of the journal.  We look forward to working with you!

Sincerely,

The Editors
