While Measure, our international journal of formal poetry, was begun in 2005 in conjunction with the University of Evansville and ceased publication in 2018, Measure Press is an ongoing enterprise by publishers Rob Griffith and Paul Bone. Our goal is to continue bringing our readers the best new poetry from both established and emerging writers through publishing several collections of poetry a year.
These books, which consist mainly of full-length collections of original poetry and the occasional book on prosody or critical studies of particular poets, are acquired through open submissions. We're looking for not only established poets but also new writers who might be overlooked by larger presses because of their interest in form and meter.
